Many of you have asked me about the source code and many times, I've asked you to wait until I take a decision. I'll make it official here: I'll not release the source code. I think this decision is for the greater goods to all of you. One of the reason why I stopped hosting Bloodscape was mainly because of the source code. First of all, it's in Visual Basic 6, a programming langage that is no longer supported and it is also pretty hard to design robust applications with it. In my opinion,VB6 is not as great as I once saw it... you know, the beginner's eyes. Anyway, just to say that the Bloodscape source code is just a big mess full of redundant pieces of code, badly designed functions and modules along with an awful tons of bugs being avoided by these dreadful "On Error Resume Next" or "On Error Goto X" statements, if you know what I mean. It would not be a sage decision to give that to the public. I could release the executables but I will not do that either. They are not stable and way too often it gets corrupted memory errors. If you have any questions about programming or game programming in general, I'll gladly help you out. You can find my email on the forum. That's all folks. |

Bloodscape is no more. After 3 years and a half of broken promises, fun, drama, wars, updates, etc... I made the decision to shut down Bloodscape forever. This is quite sudden but it had to happen eventually. I hope you had fun while it lasted. The top 10 will be updated one last time. See you around. |
